Dr. Angela Fleming received her Osteopathic Medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine (MSUCOM) in 2001. She completed her residency at Botsford Hospital in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2005 and has continued on staff as teaching faculty and a clinical physician. She is a member of the MSUCOM faculty as an Assistant Clinical Professor. Dr. Fleming has been dedicated to medical education since completing her residency and has served as the OB-GYN residency director at Beaumont Farmington Hills since 2013. She is board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (AOBOG). Dr. Fleming is a question writer and board examiner for the AOBOG. Her clinical BMG practice is in Novi where she cares for a variety of obstetrical and gynecologic patients. She specializes in all aspects of OB-GYN but is most interested in robotic surgery, menopausal concerns, and educating her patients on maintaining a balanced and healthy lifestyle. In 2019, Dr. Fleming was elected by the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOOG) to the Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics (APGO) Undergraduate Medical Education Committee (UMEC) as their representative. She has been a co-author on the APGO Medical Student Objectives and Student Advising Series, which are primary sources used by American and Canadian medical schools in their OB-GYN curriculums. She was an invited speaker at the 2020 APGO national meeting where she presented a well-received workshop, “Gamification in Medical Education.” She is interested in innovation and wellness in medical education and also the transition points from undergraduate to graduate medical education. She currently serves as a co-organizer for APGO’s Transition to Residency Course. Dr. Fleming resides in Troy, Michigan with her husband and three children.
